Agenesis of maxillary lateral incisors are the second more frecquent after the lower second premolar and not considering the third molars. They appear in 1,67-2,18 % of the orthodontic patients. These are very showy cases that can be treated by means of closing the spaces mesializing the canines or opening to insert bridges or implants. In this article we are showing three missing latarals treated in two patients by means of opening space for a third implanted premolar in a safer area less visible when smiling.  (Rev Esp Ortod. 2019;49(1):004-010)
