The objective of this clinical case report is establishing the basics for multidisciplinary cases in a way that, presumably, Dr. «Slick» Robert L. Vannarsdal would have done himself: simply, predictably, and stable in the long term. The relationship between periodontics and orthodontics is very important, especially for adult patients, as well as recovering the occlusal vertical dimension in patients with mutilated dentition and/or posterior bite collapse that Dr. Morton Amsterdam, also from University of Pennsylvania, very well described. This is even more important when the final treatment objective consists of a prosthetic rehabilitation. The end result of this case is a correct rehabilitation of the patient through a stable orthodontic treatment with premolar extractions, as we can see on the follow-up thirteen years after concluding the case.
