Autotransplantation of a bicuspid as replacement for a lost incisor

This case report is presented to illustrate the clinical application of autotrasplantation of a permanent tooth to replace a lost maxillary incisor. As it is seen in this example the approach can lead to a satisfactory permanent substitution of a lost or missing tooth. The solution is, in our opinion, superior to replacement with a dental implant or bridge and should be considered in young patients where a permanent tooth is missing or lost.  (Rev Esp Ortod. 2000;30(4):341-350)

Key words:
Autotransplatation. Agenesia. Lost incisor.
