It was done a comparative study between a teleradiography on lateral pattern and a lateral facial photography with the aim of analyzing the alterations of the antero-posterior position of maxilla and mandible, and the growing pattern of the patient. The sample was 60 teleradiography, from 30 adults, from both genders, at the beginning and end of treatment. The patients showed a Class II malocclusion, 1st division and were submitted to corrective orthodontic treatment with extraction of both upper first premolars. The results were analyzed statistically (Wilcoxon test and Shapiro-Wilk test). The cefalometric values for SNA and TNA, SNB and TNB, and SNGn and TNGn were similar, being possible to evaluate the orthodontic treatment alterations on antero-posterior direction of maxilla and mandible, and the vertical growing pattern of the face on the teleradiography and photography.  (Rev Esp Ortod. 2007;37(3):175-181)
