Episodes of dental trauma is a common precedent in patients undergoing orthodontic treatment. The type of dental trauma as well as potential complications, such as root resorption, and the type of maloclusión have a direct influence in the prognosis of the teeth affected and may modify the individual tooth movement to be performed.  (Rev Esp Ortod. 2003;33(2):103-120)
