Class II division 2 malocclusions in adults are usually challenging to treat. This article presents a method to correct this type of malocclusion based on sound biomechanical principles. Intrusion arches and mushroom loop continuous arches provide a simple method for the correction of Class II division 2 malocclusions in adults with the minimum side effects. Forces and moments incorporated in these wires allow a simultaneous intrusion and retraction of teeth with good axial inclination control of teeth thereby eliminating need for torque or root correction stages. A step by step description of one case that illustrates all the stages of treatment is presented.  (Rev Esp Ortod. 2003;33(3):193-201)
